  • The Gift Shop

    The Gift Shop

    The Gift Shop carries a variety of traditional handicrafts and souvenirs from many parts of Solomon Islands. The beautiful wood carvings with shell inlay are from the Western Province. The elaborate shell money and shell accessories are from Malaita Province. There are different styles of woven baskets from various parts of the country using many different materials and designs.
    The most distinctive carved artifacts are probably "Nguzu-nguzu(s)," a figurehead of a spirit used to adorn the prows of canoes. They are also available in different sizes in the gift shop.
